This is a section of the two page map from the original edition of Dark Companion. Color has been added here to emphasize the various expeditions.The dash and cross marks represent the path of the ship Roosevelt which was commissioned to facilitate the Polar missions.Notice near the bottom where Henson and Peary recovered the great meteorites, the largest of which is over 70,000 pounds.

It is interesting to notice the the 1892, 95 and 1900 expedition routes exploring the northern most tip of Greenland. Peary Land is still the name of this realm.

Henson & Peary had to explore this region to find where land ended - it was possible that the route to the pole was a land mass extending from Greenland. In fact, Peary proved the Pole is in the midst of a vast frozen ocean.
