Kevin Hooks Director Kevin Hooks made his feature film directing debut with Strictly Business, and went on to direct Passenger 57, starring Wesley Snipes and Elizabeth Hurley, and Fled, with Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin. His television directing credits include the critically acclaimed Roots: The Gift; Tales from the Crypt; Murder Without Motive: The Edmund Perry Story; Irresistible Force; To My Daughter with Love; and the TNT Original Heat Wave, for which he received the CableACE Award for Best Picture and a nomination for Best Director. As an actor, Hooks is best known as Morris Thorpe from the hit series The White Shadow and has appeared in several feature films and television shows. Hooks recently completed directing the feature film Black Dog, starring Patrick Swayze. Bruce Gilbert Executive Producer Bruce Gilbert's writing and producing of motion picture and television productions since the late `70s has garnered 25 Academy Award nominations (two for Best Picture), six Academy Award winners, an Emmy-winning miniseries, a Golden Globe for Best Picture and the prestigious Humanitas Award. Gilbert's career highlights include Coming Home, with Jane Fonda and Jon Voight; The China Syndrome, with Michael Douglas; 9 to 5, with Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda; and On Golden Pond, with Henry Fonda, Katharine Hepburn and Jane Fonda. His film credits also include Rollover, The Morning After, Man Trouble and Jack the Bear. Gilbert's television credits include the series Nine to Five, the Emmy-winning rniiseries The Doilmaker and the telefilm By Dawn's Early Light. Robert Caputo Story by/Associate Producer Robert Caputo has traveled in, photographed and written about the developing world since 1971. As a graduate of New York University Film School, he assisted Baron Hugo Van Lawick in filming the wildlife documentary series Jane Goodall and the World of Animal Behavior. He was based in Nairobi for two years as a photographic stringer for Time Magazine. Since 1980, freelance assignments for National Geographic Magazine have taken Caputo to Zaire, Egypt, Sudan, Ethipoia, Uganda, Nambia, Kenya, Nepal and Venezuela. Caputo's photography and writings were combined in books including Hyene Day, More Than Just Pets, the photo essay Journey Up The Nile and, most recently, Kenya Journal. His photographs have been displayed internationally in the exhibition Odyssey: The Art of Photography at National Geographic. He is based in Washington D.C. Jeffrey Lewis Writer Jeffrey Lewis's screenplays include The Beautiful Game, The Crush, Iqbal: A Child of Bondage and Superstitious. Lewis also wrote and produced for the hit series Hill Street Blues from 1981-1987, as well as for several series he created/co-created: Bay City Blues, Beverly Hills Buntz and Lifestories. He is the winner of two Emmys, the Writers Guild Award and The Humanitas Prize, among others. Susan Rhinehart Writer Susan Rhinehart's television credits include TNT's Buffalo Soldiers, In The Line of Duty, The Hidden Room and China Beach. She is currently in development on the TNT miniseries Alexander The Great. She also received the Samuel Goldwyn Award for writing excellence for Saigon, Goodnight. |
