This is Matt's grave where he was reinterred April 6, 1988 along with his wife Lucy Ross Henson. The monument is the result of efforts by Dr. Counter. His book and a National Geographic article both provide the details of his tribute to Henson. 

Notice the sphere in the background which is Robert Peary's monument - a globe representing Earth with a bronze star at the North Pole; the prize which he and Henson achieved together.
